The Red Lion Inn is located on the High Street in the village of Norton, about a mile and a half from Stockton town centre. Originally a Coaching Inn on the main Sunderland to York road, between 1770 and 1835, it has had three moves prior to its present site within 100 feet of each other! This is a traditional looking pub with cream painted wood outside. Inside there is one long bar, a snug, a little room for the pool table, a lounge area and upstairs function room. We now have a beer garden which is a new feature for 2008. There is a lively history of ghosts which is worth looking into, perhaps not too deeply! With some form of entertainment every night of the week, plus all major matches shown on the big screens there is something to suit all tastes. We attract regulars and passing trade to this trouble free, female friendly venue. With a very mixed age group and everyone getting on well together in the relaxed, community atmosphere, this is definitely a pub to be tried in the near future.
